Power of the Chicken Hawks

Try to always remember

And to your higher power, pray

America’s freedom was

Brought to you by

Vets and MIA’s

To go and fight wasn’t our call,

But all of us went, we followed orders

Some of us went missing and a lot did fall

But thanks to our freedom within our borders

The bravest of the brave are on the Wall.

If the GOP is so anti terror,

Then why do they support the terror of war?

Have they ever heard the whine of incoming rounds?

How about the whispering zip of a bullet that missed?

Or the deafening silence before all hell brakes loose?

The soft boom and eerie glow of flares?

And the thought of your best buddies dying in country,

and than going home.

The sound of a 6 foot zipper while your saying good bye,

For the last time.

So take your yellow ribbons and tie them around your neck

Cause if you truly supported the troops,

You’d be a vet.
